Apr 11, 2024 - WWEPC – Avoiding and Managing Sibling Conflicts in Estate Matters

Location: Golf's Steakhouse, Royal Room, 598 Lancaster Street West, Kitchener, Ontario

Speakers:

Charles B. Ticker

Estate mediation is an important part of the estate litigation process in Ontario. Most lawsuits in Ontario settle well in advance of trial. Many people believe that appearing in Court and having a verdict from a Judge is the desired outcome when a lawsuit is commenced.

But mediation may be a better option as it provides the parties the opportunity to control the process as opposed to putting their fate in the hands of a total stranger.

Moreover, the estate litigation process is very lengthy and expensive. It can take many years of emotional and financial costs to litigate a metter all the way to trial. Mediation can greatly shorten the length of the Court proceedings and significantly reduce the legal fees involved.

Most estate disputes can be resolved well in advance of trial as long as the parties involved are willing to be reasonable and compromise.

Charles is an experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate mediator with over 40 years of estate litigation experience. He can help parties to an estate dispute end their dispute and move on with their lives.
