Mar 14, 2024 - WWEPC – Integration of Family Law and Estate Planning #2

Location: Golf's Steakhouse, Royal Room, 598 Lancaster Street West, Kitchener, Ontario

Speakers:

Sara McCullough

Sara McCullough has 20 years experience in the financial industry. Starting in client communications, Sara began advising clients directly in 2003. Since then, she has worked at both bank-owned and privately- owned wealth management firms. Over that time, she has worked with a wide range of clients, including recent graduates starting careers, business owners, medical professionals and multi-generation families.

We’ll pick up the loose ends from our February conversation with our separation family case study.  Join us for a discussion about how to identify and advise well on estate aspects when a family has separated.  We’ll discuss how to help clients during their separation discussions with areas like life insurance, affordability and understanding their responsibilities related to pension beneficiaries, health benefits and decisions related to minor children.  Post-separation, we’ll cover advising clients on powers of attorney, updated wills including trusts for minor children, and how to bring a full understanding, from a financial planning perspective, to their new situation.
